General Price List
These prices are effective as of December 1, 2008 and are subject to change without notice.

Thank you for trusting Natchez Trace Funeral Home to serve your funeral needs.”
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
Basic Services of the Funeral Director and Staff and Overhead: $2485*+
This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.) This fee includes the following:
- Personnel available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year to respond to initial call.
- Reception and arrangement rooms
- Arrangement conference.
- Coordinating service plans with cemetery, crematory and/or other parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased.
- Sheltering of remains
- Clerical assistance in the completion of various forms and permits associated with a funeral.
- Also covers overhead, including facility expenses and maintenance, parking and common areas, insurance and administration expenses, salaries, taxes and governmental compliance.
Embalming: $700*+
EXCEPT IN CERTAIN SPECIAL CASES, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.
Other preparations of the body:
- Dressing, casketing and/or cosmetizing of deceased: $150*+
- Bathing and handling of deceased: $75
Use of Facilities, Staff & Equipment:
- Use of Facilities and Staff Services for Viewing (Per day): $400*
or use of staff and equipment at other locations (e.g. church).
- Use of Facilities and Staff for Funeral Ceremony: $350*
or use of staff and equipment at other locations (e.g. church).
- Use of Equipment and Staff for Graveside Service: $450+
(includes tent and chairs).
- Use of Facilities and Staff for Memorial Service: $350
(without remains present) or use of staff and equipment at other locations.
- Use of Equipment for graveside Committal Service: $300*
Includes tent and chairs.
Automotive:
(each within a 50 mile radius, additional distance will be charged at $2.50 per mile, per vehicle).
- Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home: $200*+
- Hearse: $175*+
- Flower Car / Utility Vehicle: $75*+
- Service Vehicle (e.g. Lead Car): $50*+
- Transfer to or from Airport: $175
- Transfer to Place of Autopsy and Return $175
- Sheltering of Remains after 4th Day $100.00 (Per Day)
Forwarding Remains to Another Funeral Home: $1850
This charge includes basic services of funeral director and staff and a proportionate share of overhead costs ($775), transfer of remains to funeral home within a 50 mile radius ($200), necessary authorizations, embalming ($700), transportation to local airport or other place of shipment within a 50 mile radius ($175) (excludes shipping container and shipping charges.) This charge does not include visitation or ceremonies. This charge applies to shipment within the continental United States only.
Receiving Remains From Another Funeral Home: $1575
This charge includes basic services of funeral director and staff and a proportionate share of overhead costs ($1,200), transportation from local airport or other shipping destination within a 50 mile radius ($200), and hearse for transportation of remains to cemetery within a 50 mile radius($175). This charge does not include visitation or ceremonies.
Direct Cremation: $1875 to $6855
If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use than alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are alternative containers and other cremation containers, including containers made of fiberboard, and containers made of other composite materials. See descriptions below.
Our charges for direct cremation (without ceremony) includes basic services or funeral director and staff and a proportionate share of overhead costs ($1375), transfer of remains to funeral home within a 50 mile radius($200), and the crematory fee($300). THE CREMATION FEE IS INCLUDED.
- Direct cremation with the container provided by the purchaser: $1875
(All such containers must meet any applicable state or crematory requirements).
- Direct cremation with a heavy cardboard alternative container: $1950
- Direct cremation with a heavy cardbooard alternative container (crepe interior) $2125
- Direct cremation with the WoodLawn Poplar fiberboard cremation casket. $3265
- Direct cremation with a wood casket selected from our $4065 to $6855 funeral home. (Refer to the casket price list as provided at the funeral home).
Immediate Burial: $1850 to $6830
Our charges for immediate burial (without any rites or ceremonies at the funeral home, graveside or elsewhere) include basic services of funeral director and staff and a proportionate share of overhead costs ($1475), transfer of remains to funeral home within a 50 mile radius ($200), and hearse for transportation to cemetery within a 50 mile radius ($175).
- Immediate burial with container provided by the purchaser: $1850
(All such containers must meet any applicable state or crematory requirements).
- Immediate burial with a heavy cardboard alternative container (no interior) $1925
- Immediate burial with a Transporter alternative container (crepe interior). $2000
- Immediate burial with casket selected from our facility $2740 to $6830

- Immediate burial with a graveside service (in addition to the cost of a casket) $2300

Includes: Basic service of the funeral director and staff and overhead ($2485), embalming ($700), dressing, casketing, and/or cosmetizing of deceased ($150), private visitation 1 hour prior to service in our funeral home, transfer of remains to funeral home ($200), hearse ($175), flower car/utility vehicle ($75), service vehicle ($50) (each within a 50 mile radius of funeral home), use of equipment and staff for graveside service ($450), and choice of memorial package ($95).
Cremation with Traditional Funeral and use of Rental Casket: (body present) $5360
This charge includes basic services of the funeral director and staff and overhead ($2485), transfer of remains to funeral home ($200), embalming ($700), dressing, casketing and/or cosmetizing of deceased ($150), use of facilities and staff for services for viewing (1 day)($400), use of facilities and staff for funeral ceremony ($350), Vesta Oak Ceremonial Rental Casket ($200), Vesta Ceremonial Rental Casket Insert ($480) choice of memorial package ($95), and crematory fee ($300).
Cremation with Memorial Service in our Chapel (body not present) $3505
This charge includes basic services of the funeral director and staff and overhead ($2485), transfer of remains to funeral home ($200), Cardboard Cremation Alternative Container ($75), transfer of remains to crematory (if applicable), crematory fee ($300), use of facilities and staff for memorial service ($350), and your choice of Memorial Package ($95).
Infants and children: Charges for our services, facilities, and motor equipment listed on our General Price List are provided at a reduced rate for infants, young children, and pre adults. This compassionate allowance is reflected as a percentage of the regular price. Under 2 years of age:10%, 2 to 12 years of age: 30%, and 13 years to 17 years of age:50% allowance. The compassionate allowance does not apply to any merchandise selected.
Payment Options:
Natchez Trace Funeral Home requires that payment be made prior to the rendering of services. We will gladly accept any of the following methods of payment:
- Cash.
- Check (personal, cashiers check, or money order).
- Major Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Discovery).
- Assignable, validated insurance policy
- A prearranged funeral from any funeral home.
(Please note that we only give credit for the face amount of any “Class A” Burial Insurance policies you may have purchased from another funeral home located in the state of Mississippi. We must have the original policies, policy numbers, and they must be in force to receive any credit.)
